🚧 Big Changes Coming to Mark Twain Playground! 🚧

Beginning this weekend, crews will start work on major renovations to the playground at Mark Twain Elementary School.

The project includes the replacement of the existing playground structure with a new main play area featuring climbing and interactive play elements for elementary students. Crews will also install a new poured-in-place rubber surface to enhance accessibility, safety and durability.

For safety reasons, the playground will be closed throughout construction and will remain inaccessible to students, families and community members until the project is complete. Work is expected to be finished shortly before the start of the 2026-27 school year.

We appreciate the community’s patience as we invest in improvements that will benefit Mark Twain students for years to come. Additional updates will be shared as the project progresses.

🎉 Wear Purple, Bring a Friend and Join the Fun! 🎉

Join us for an evening of food, friendship and Eagle pride as Brentwood hosts its spring “Tailgates, Teammates and School Spirit” event on Friday, May 8, from 3:30-6 p.m. at Brentwood High School’s Eagles Stadium.

The celebration features a varsity girls soccer matchup between Brentwood and Roosevelt at 4 p.m., along with a special Senior Night ceremony honoring the team’s Class of 2026 graduates.

Guests can enjoy free food and drinks from the Chartwells food truck while catching up with friends, meeting neighbors and cheering on the Eagles. Admission is free, and all community members are welcome. We ask that anyone under age 14 be accompanied by an adult.

We hope to see you there! Go Eagles!

As second grade begins their final social studies unit, students are “traveling” around the world to explore different countries and cultures. Today, their journey took them to Kenya—all through an immersive experience at The Magic House! Students stepped into the daily lives of Kenyan people by participating in hands-on activities. They visited a Kenyan school, explored a bustling market, prepared traditional foods, volunteered at an elephant orphanage, and even experienced a ride on a matatu (a popular form of public transportation in Kenya). We love our field trip experiences!
