Thank you to everyone who helped to make our 100 year anniversary dinner this past weekend a success. The fire company, club and ladies auxillary has changed over the past 100 years but one thing remains constant and that is our loyalty to the citizens of Bressler and surrounding communities. Video from the event will be post this evening.

Units are currently operating on a Working Structure Fire in the 1000 block of Main Street. Please avoid the area.

Yesterday, Station 91-2 handled several calls for service, including an AFA, a Medical Assist, a Carbon Monoxide Alarm, and an Elevator Rescue.

Through honest and open communication, we learned another Township station would be low on manpower, so a few members made sure to remain available to respond for the evening. Truly, a TEAM effort made possible by communicating needs.

This happens everyday in Swatara Township. It may not always be with open arms and open minds, but, by working together, the needs of the residents of Swatara Township and our mutual aid partners are met consistently!

It is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for the Central Dauphin School District!

As you head out this morning, please plan for extra time as the school buses have hit the road. You CANNOT pass a school bus that has active red lights, stop bar, and stop sign! Doing so results in large fines and points on your license.

The speed limit on Main Street is 25mph. We have children walking to school and there will be increased traffic at Cypress Street (entrance to Tri-C Elementary), so please be extra aware of your surroundings!

Watch for pedestrian and vehicle traffic at Harrisburg and Hanshue Streets with Swatara Middle School being right there.

Most importantly, we hope everyone has a GREAT first day of school!

On August 28, 2021 from 12pm-Dark, we will be hosting a picnic/party for all to enjoy. We will be having traditional foods such as lamb on the spit, pork, sausage, cabbage and noodles, french fries, hot dogs, beverages, and MORE! There will be activities for the kids, raffles, prizes, and fire trucks on display! "Reminisce" and "DJ Tony" will be playing favorite songs from yesterday and today! Make sure to stick around for the whole day, as we will be ending the night with a professional FIREWORKS display!

This morning, E91-2 was dispatched as part of the MVA w/ entrapment box on the PA Turnpike on the Susquehanna River bridge. E91-2 (w/ 3) was first arriving fire apparatus, taking up a lane blocking position so R59 could have unimpeded access to the crash.

MICU 4-1, on scene first, found an entrapped patient that was deceased. Box was held to E91-2 and R59. Units stood by until PSP completed their investigation. Once complete, crews removed the victim for the Dauphin County Coroner's Office.
