THAT MEANS HIGHER TAXES FOR TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY CITIZENS. Published in yesterday's Transylvania Times, a quote from an article penned by one of the two Democrat candidates for County Commissioner.

Let us translate the quote. It means he doesn't think that the county has spent enough of your money in the past. Are we surprised? No, bigger government is part of the Democrat party's DNA. Look no further than Brevard's Democratic City Council raising property taxes 7% just four days ago. What is surprising, is that this candidate said the quiet part out loud.

Anyone who thinks Democrats will do a better job of protecting your tax dollars than Republicans isn't paying attention.

DEMOCRATS HAVE NEVER SEEN A TAX THEY DIDN'T LIKE, OR WANT TO INCREASE. The Democrat talking point of the day is "affordability". But it's just a talking point. For proof, look at what Democrats did to the citizens of Brevard just three days ago.

HERE'S WHY:

Many of us believe the time allotted for early voting, particularly since COVID, has led to higher levels of voter fraud across the country. That said, the 17-day early voting period is currently the law in North Carolina, and won't go away unless enough conservatives are elected to reduce it to a more reasonable timeframe and eliminate opportunities for fraud. Winning elections is our goal, and voting early helps us win; so let's do it.

Voting early ensures that your vote counts. Waiting until Election Day puts your vote at risk. However unlikely, why take a chance that on election day, there's a flood that keeps the roads closed, or that you or someone you care for gets sick, or your car breaks down, or any number of life's random events that could occur on that day? It's not worth the risk. In a close election, every vote matters.

Democrats have figured this out and currently vote early in far higher percentages than Republicans. That fact alone puts us at a disadvantage as we approach November's election.

If you want to ensure your vote gets counted, and elect candidates who are more likely to support eliminating the potential for election fraud, please make every effort to vote early this year. Remember, WE VOTE, WE WIN! WE DON'T, WE LOSE.

Read their signs. They believe in unrestricted abortion on demand, open borders, boys in girls' sports, racist DEI policies, and every other Marxist policy. Throw in Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), and you have a very motivated Democrat voting base this November.

BREVARD CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS APPROVE BUDGET INCREASE AND HIGHER TAXES/FEES.

City Council passes budget with property tax increase, improvements to Sports Complex and employee cost-of-living increase

The final budget did retain the previously proposed 4% increase to utility fees for recycling and cardboard collection and it passed with those elements in a 4-1 vote to make room for other more pressing municipal needs next year.
