Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the resource fair hosted by El Centro Comunitario Hispano-Americano! 💜

Thank you, El Centro, for bringing our community together and creating such a valuable space to connect with local resources. And a big thank you to our amazing staff who were there to share knowledge, build connections, and help ensure survivors know where to turn for the support and services they need.

Help Stock Stacey’s House 💜

Supporting SAFE doesn’t always have to mean making a large donation. One of the most practical ways you can help survivors and families staying at Stacey’s House is by providing the everyday essentials they need to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

We’ve put together a list of current needs, including hygiene and personal care items, clothing, baby essentials, and cleaning supplies. These simple necessities make a meaningful difference and help us ensure Stacey’s House feels like a welcoming home for everyone who stays with us.

If you’re able to pick up an item or two, your donation will directly support survivors and families in our community. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference!

If you would like to drop off a donation, please call (828) 885-7233 to let us know you are planning to come by. Donations can be dropped off at our office located at 515 N Broad St, STE 1, Brevard, NC 28712.

Thank you for helping us create a safe, supportive, and welcoming community for survivors. 💜

Another incredible community partner that has recently joined the The PorchLight Project is the Transylvania County Library.

Libraries are places where people come to learn, connect, and find support, and now, thanks to this partnership, they are also helping create a safer, more informed community for survivors.

By joining the Porchlight Project, the Transylvania County Library has committed to being a place where individuals can access resources, receive information, and be connected to help when they need it most. Every new Porchlight partner expands the network of safe spaces in our community and reminds survivors that they are never alone.

Thank you, Transylvania County Library, for standing with survivors and helping us build a community where everyone has access to hope, safety, and support.

The statistics shared in this post highlight the disproportionate impact that domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking have on LGBTQ+ individuals.

Behind every number is a person, and understanding these realities is an important step toward building safer, more supportive communities for all survivors.
