Their community collected items from our wish list during the month of July! At a Christmas in July dinner, we were presented with all their gifts for our programming needs!

Save the Date for our 2026 Festival of Lights: A Storybook Christmas!

📆 Thursday, December 10th - Sunday, December 13th

This is an annual festive event for families held at Deerwoode Reserve! All proceeds go back to The Family Place to help support our mission.

Join us for the next Family Dinner Series event on September 28th, where families can enjoy a meal together while learning about topics that support healthy child development and family well-being.

Theme: Foundational Skills for Early Learning
Transylvania County Recreation Center

Join Kyle Woorley, Transylvania County School System, and Erin Rogers, Blueridge Community College, for a discussion about preparing your child for kindergarten. Topics will include school choice, kindergarten registration, what families can expect during the transition to school, and the early learning skills that help children enter kindergarten ready to learn and thrive.
