Please help us congratulate our very own Volunteer Firefighter Alan Perea and EMT-B Spencer Smyth for graduating their Firefighter 1 class. Alan Perea was also awarded Most Improved in the class.

🚒 FIREFIGHTER 1 GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENT 🚒

Okanogan County Fire District 6 is proud to announce the recent graduation of Firefighter 1 academy members!

A total of nine firefighters completed the academy—five from OCFD6 and four from neighboring fire districts. This achievement represents many hours of training, dedication, discipline, and commitment to serving their communities.

We extend our sincere congratulations to each graduate for successfully completing this challenging program. Your hard work and perseverance reflect the very best of the fire service.

District 15 Landing zone training with Lifeflight. Unfortunately just before training was to begin there was a wildland fire outside Pateros. Brewster fire was released from the fire and able to catch the end of training before Lifeflight had to leave.

Level 2 for a grass fire moving North Star Road and Valley Road.

Persons should be aware of their surroundings and take action if needed.

If you feel unsafe, leave now.

Be cautious of emergency vehicles responding.

Remember People, Pets, Prescriptions, Papers, Personal Needs, and Priceless Items

Do not wait for door-to-door notification, take action if needed.

This may be your only notice, be ready to evacuate.

Following last night’s windstorm, the City of Brewster Public Works Department will be collecting woody debris from city residents. Please place debris piles at the edge of the roadway where a loader or excavator can safely access them and keep debris out of the travel lane for everyone’s safety. Crews will continue pickup efforts through the weekend and until June 12th.
Residents who prefer to dispose of debris themselves may use the yard debris pile located above Locust Grove Cemetery. This site is for yard and tree debris only. Please do not dump trash or building materials.

Wow what a night!! Dist. 15 Fire was toned 14 times for fires and trees down. The wind and lightning wrecked havoc but with the help of Malott fire, Bridgeport fire, and DNR, no structures were lost and no injuries reported. Fire on Upper Ridge rd was contained to approx. 56 acres. Great job by our volunteer firefighters and neighboring agencies!!

Today, the Gear Up class at Brewster Middle School toured the fire station, gaining knowledge about the different trucks, equipment, and EMS. We have a firefighter explorer program as well as an Ambulance ride along program for 16 and older. If you are interested stop by our Admin office at the EMS Station for a packet.
