Congratulations to Kathryn Rambach, a 2026 graduate of T.R. Miller High School, on receiving the Alabama Association of County Agriculture Agents and Specialists Scholarship!

This recognition is especially meaningful to the Escambia County Extension family. Kate is the granddaughter of Dr. Olin F. "Buck" Farrior, who faithfully served as County Agent Coordinator for Escambia County from 1987 until his retirement in 2010. Through his decades of service, Buck helped educate and improve the lives of countless individuals across our county.

Buck passed away in May 2025, but his legacy of service, leadership, and commitment to helping others lives on. We know he would be incredibly proud to see Kate receive this scholarship and begin her own exciting journey.

This fall, Kate will attend Huntingdon College, where she plans to major in Pre-Health/Cell Biology and continue her softball career.

Congratulations, Kate! 🎓🎉

🐄🤠 Conecuh & Monroe Young Farmers Field Day 🤠🐄

We are excited to advertise this youth opportunity to attend a hands-on cattle experience on June 20, 2026, in Beatrice! Kids will get to watch real working cowboys in action, learn cattle handling techniques, see calf sorting demonstrations, and learn about vaccinations in a live setting.

This opportunity is open to elementary through junior high age youth who are interested in agriculture, animals, and learning something new!

A huge thank you to the Young Farmers group for organizing this wonderful educational experience for our area youth.

If your child would like to attend, please call us at 251-578-2762 and let us know of your interest. Once we know how many youth will be participating, we will work out the travel details and share more information with families.

We hope your child can join us for a fun and educational day on the farm! 🌾
