Last week, Mr Aaron had the opportunity to attend the Alabama AV Bootcamp at Albertville Innovations Academy alongside 11 other Media Production educators representing 9 schools from across Alabama.

The bootcamp provided valuable professional development focused on topics such as studio and field lighting, podcast production, grading and assessment in Career Technical Education, industry trends, and best practices for teaching media production. Participants collaborated, shared ideas, and explored new ways to enhance learning experiences for students.

Mr Aaron also presented, “From VCR to Vodcast: Building a Media Program from the Ground Up,” where he shared the journey of growing our program from its early stages into a thriving media pathway that now provides students with hands-on experience in broadcasting, video production, podcasting, and digital media. The session highlighted key milestones, including expanding student production opportunities, developing industry-relevant coursework, and creating authentic learning experiences that help prepare students for college and careers in the media industry.

Congratulations to Our Students on Earning Industry Credentials!

We are incredibly proud of our students at the Escambia Career Readiness Center who recently passed important credentialing exams in their career pathways!

A credentialing test is an industry-recognized exam that proves students have mastered the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their chosen career field. Passing these exams gives students valuable certifications that can help them continue their education and stand out to future employers.

Mrs. Wilson’s Health Science students passed the National Health Career Association’s Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Exam: Destini Denson, Anna Beckwith, Tarajiah McNeal, Cecilia Franco, and McKinley Dillehay

Mr. Wilson’s Industrial Maintenance students passed the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) CORE Exam: Justin Hicks, Braden Berry, Ethan Pate

Mr. Hart’s Automotive Technology student passed the ASE Entry-Level Program Test: Dylan McCombs

These students have demonstrated hard work, dedication, and career-ready excellence. We celebrate their achievements and look forward to all they will accomplish in the future!
