Hi! My name is Brittany Fuqua, and I am excited to be joining the team at BMS as a Fifth Grade ELA/Science/Social Studies teacher. I am a graduate of the University of Tennessee- Go Vols! I have a passion for working with children and have had the opportunity to do so in many different roles, including as a teacher, children and youth director, and substitute teacher. I am thrilled to be back in the classroom!

My husband, Randy, and I have two children: Charlie, who is in eighth grade at BMS, and Aubrey, who is in second grade at BES.

BMS ACAP Recognition for 7th and 8th graders
Today was a proud day for the students, parents, faculty, and staff of Brewton Middle School!! We recognized our students for their performance on the most recently administered standardized asessment, ACAP, which took place last spring. We also recognized students who showed growth from the previous school year to last year.

ACAP scores are reported from Levels 1 to 4 with Level 3 being designated as proficient (having a strong understanding of grade level standards) and Level 4 designated as above proficient (having an advanced understanding of grade level standards. We recognized students who scored Level 3 and/or Level 4 on subject area assessments. Students in Grades 4, 6, and 8 took ELA, Math, and Science. and students in grades 5 and 7 took ELA and Math.

We also recognized our ACAP All Stars. These students scored above proficient (Level 4) on all assessments. We are very proud of the hard work shown by our students and faculty. We have already begun preparing for the next assessment, Spring 2027.

BMS ACAP Recognition!
Today was a proud day for the students, parents, faculty, and staff of Brewton Middle School!!
