The Mayor’s Student Advisory Committee (MSAC) are the proud recipients of the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute (LMTI) “Change Award” for the 2025–2026 school year! The Change Award recognizes the Brick Action Group’s efforts to promote healthy lifestyle choices through an outstanding prevention program focused on Peer-to-Peer Teaching projects throughout the school year. Congratulations to these students on this well-deserved recognition! We are excited to see the positive change they continue to make in our schools and community.

LMTI, a youth leadership program of Partners in Prevention, encourages students to see challenges not as roadblocks, but as opportunities to create change. Through their experiences, students build confidence, purpose, and motivation that carry with them throughout the school year and beyond. The Brick Municipal Alliance (BMAC) sponsored these students through grants provided by the Governor’s Council on Substance Use Disorder (GCSUD), giving them the opportunity to participate in LMTI and develop the leadership skills needed to make a positive impact in their schools and community.

Throughout the 2025–2026 school year and summer, the Brick Teen Center has been filled with a variety of workshops, programs, and community partnerships that brought new experiences and opportunities to our teens. From photography programs, movie nights, and guided painting classes to the memories created, skills learned, and connections made, there has been so much to celebrate. We can’t wait to bring even more activities and experiences to the Teen Center as we enter a new school year. Be on the lookout for registration opportunities!
