EVENT: Missing Child Located Safe

INFORMATION:

The Bridge City Police Department is pleased to report that the missing 8-year-old white male who was the subject of an extensive search last night (07/30/2026) has been located safe and reunited with his family.

We would like to thank the many law enforcement officers, first responders, and community members who assisted in the search efforts. Their quick response, teamwork, and dedication were instrumental in bringing this incident to a safe conclusion.

A special thank you goes to the West Orange Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff's Office for their assistance and for deploying their drone teams, which provided valuable aerial support during the search.

We are grateful for the support and concern shown by the public and appreciate everyone who shared information and remained vigilant during the search.

To protect the privacy of the child and the family, no further information will be released at this time.

He was found safe!

The Bridge City Police Department is seeking help from the public regarding the whereabouts of a male runaway juvenile, last seen in Bridge City on Friday, April 17th.

Francis Latiolais is a 16-year old White male, 5’6”, 130lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information regarding the location of Francis Latiolais is urged to call 911 or the Bridge City Police Department at 409-735-5028

CITY OF BRIDGE CITY: Now Accepting Applicants Currently Enrolled Police Cadets TCOLE Certified Police Officer Open until filled. Police Cadets: $22.10 while in the academy Certified Police Officer - 7 year step plan: $31.54/hr. ($65,606.20 annual) - $37.18/hr. ($77,334.40 annual) Full-time certified police officer with 2 plus years experience may hire level in accordance with pay scale. Benefits include health insurance at zero cost to the employee with option to add dependents at additional cost, TMRS retirement (7% 2:1 match), optional secondary retirement plans/insurance (Colonial Life and Aflac) Paid vacation, sick leave, eligible to earn up to 160 of compensatory time, longevity, 12 paid city holidays, paid birthday holiday. Certificate/Educational pay including bilingual, TCOLE instructor, intoxilizer, and FTO. Uniform and all duty equipment provided for police officer.
