We are thrilled to officially announce Lauren Martin as the new Principal of Bridgeport Intermediate School!

Mrs. Martin is a familiar face to the BISD family, having served our students and staff as a classroom teacher, campus administrator, and most recently as the district’s Language Arts and Social Studies Coordinator. Her passion for academic excellence and deep commitment to student growth make her the perfect leader to guide Bridgeport Intermediate into its next exciting chapter.

• Dates: June 1 - 25 on Monday-Thursday
• Times: Breakfast 7:30am-8:15am Lunch 11am-12:30pm
• Location: Bridgeport Elementary School

Who Can Eat? All children ages 0-18

On-Site Meal Rule: all meals must be eaten on site

Congratulations to Bridgeport students Chesney Barrett and Angel Banuelos on receiving first place for their essays in the Wise County essay contest! As part of the on-going America 250 Celebration, Wise County recently sponsored this essay contest with three divisions: Elementary, Middle, and High School. The contest was open to all school districts in the county.

Fourth grader Chesney was recognized at the May school board meeting for her Bridgeport ISD first place finish with her essay entitled, "Why I Love America,” and seventh grader Angel was also recognized for his Bridgeport ISD first place finish with his essay "Why Communities Matter." Both students received a $100 award that was presented by Jake Martinez of the Bridgeport Lions Club.

Angel's essay was also chosen as the county winner for the middle school division! He was honored with a $250 award during the May 26 meeting at Wise County Commissioner's Court in Decatur. The prize money was provided by the Wise County Historical Commission. We’re proud of these incredi-BULL writers for their thoughtful work!
