On this 66th day of 99-Days, this message is for the adult children caring for their aging parents.

Whether youโ€™re providing care in person or from afar, your love and dedication matter more than you know. Itโ€™s not easy when the people who once cared for you begin to depend on you. Watching their independence fade can be heartbreaking, but your presence, patience, and compassion are one of the greatest gifts you can give.

This season wonโ€™t last forever. One day, youโ€™ll look back knowing you were there when it mattered mostโ€”with love, dignity, and no regrets.

To my fellow adult children walking this journey, today is for you. โค๏ธ

If youโ€™re able, please consider supporting older adults and their caregivers by donating to the Southwestern CT Agency on Aging: https://givebutter.com/99-days-6mani7

As a caregiver, one way you can help protect your loved one is to watch out for scammers. One way scammers go after people is through the mail.

Sending documents that look like official government letters and claiming they need personal information like a Social Security number, Medicare number, or banking information, are ways they can create financial ruin for your loved one.

The next time you visit your loved one, review their mail with them using these tips.
