We are incredibly saddened to share with you that we have learned of the passing of paramedic Thomas “TJ” Kochera on June 5, 2026. TJ was known as a valued member of the AMR Bridgeport family since 2012, who quickly became an important part of our team. TJ was also known for his compassion, professionalism, and dedication to his colleagues and the patients he encountered throughout the Bridgeport and Fairfield areas.

It's National CPR awareness week! In the event that you witness an individual collapse, it is critical to call 911 immediately. Sudden cardiac arrest remains a leading cause of death; however, prompt and decisive action can significantly improve outcomes. Administering Hands-Only CPR can greatly increase a person’s chances of survival while awaiting emergency medical assistance.

During EMS Week, Bridgeport Hospital recognized our team’s achievements over the past year. AMR Bridgeport received the Innovation and Impact Award for exceptional collaboration and clinical excellence. Additionally, Clinical Education Supervisor Dom Mauro was honored with the Outstanding Leadership Award for his steadfast commitment to serving our community. We are extremely proud of our team members and the exceptional work carried out every day at AMR.
