: Principal Vernon Thompson is not your average school administrator. By day, he leads the prestigious Harding High School with passion and dedication. But by night, he transforms into his alter ego - the Hip Hop Principal.

With a background in education and a love for music, Principal Thompson uses his unique talents to connect with students in a way that traditional educators cannot. Through his innovative approach to teaching and leadership, he has inspired countless students to reach their full potential and pursue their dreams.

Known for his charismatic personality and infectious energy, the Hip Hop Principal has become a beloved figure in the school community. Whether he’s dropping rhymes in the hallways or hosting motivational community events, Principal Thompson is always finding new ways to engage and empower his students.

With his blend of hip hop culture and educational expertise, Principal Thompson is breaking down barriers and changing the game in the world of education. He is not just a principal - he is a visionary, a mentor, and a true champion for student success.

At Harding High School, we believe in the power of restorative practices to build a positive school culture and support the social-emotional well-being of our students. That’s why we have implemented a team of dedicated restorative support staff who work tirelessly to create a safe and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.

Our restorative support staff consists of trained professionals who specialize in conflict resolution, mediation, and relationship-building. They are committed to fostering a sense of community and belonging among our students, and they work proactively to address and prevent conflicts before they escalate.

In addition to facilitating restorative circles and mediations, we have partnered with LifeBridge Community Services to provide additional counseling in school and out of school counseling. These supports and efforts have significantly decreased school suspensions and disciplinary infractions.
