We are so grateful to Office of Governor Ned Lamont, State Representative Cristin McCarthy Vahey, and State Representative Christopher Rosario for recently visiting The Center for Family Justice and meeting with our leadership team to discuss the evolving needs of children and families in our community.

A special thank you to Governor Lamont for supporting Pathways to Hope for the Future, our reimagined Child Advocacy Center, through critical state bond funding. Construction is now underway on this transformational project, which is expected to open in 2027.

The new Child Advocacy Center will provide a safe, child-focused, trauma-informed environment where children impacted by abuse can access coordinated services, advocacy, and support designed to reduce trauma and promote healing.
This investment will strengthen CFJ's ability to serve vulnerable children and families for generations to come.

Thank you to our state leaders for recognizing the importance of this work and for helping us create brighter pathways to hope, healing, and justice.

This summer a generous board member from CFJ, Adriana Mazza and her family representing the Juliana Mazza Memorial Foundation Foundation donated their time and boat to take our Pathway youth on two boating trips in Shelton, CT.🚀

This was an amazing opportunity for our kids!
The day was filled with swimming, laughs, tubing, and even jet ski rides!

Thank you to the Mazza family and the Juliana Mazza Memorial Foundation for providing our Pathways program with these lifelong memories!
We are beyond grateful for your generosity to the youth of the families we serve!πŸ’œ

We were delighted to welcome Cindi Bigelow to The Center for Family Justice and share the impact of our programs and services.
We are so grateful to Bigelow Tea and the Bigelow family for their longstanding commitment to helping children and families in our community heal, grow, and thrive.

It was especially meaningful to showcase the play area that will be dedicated in honor of David C. Bigelow at our reimagined Child Advocacy Center whose legacy of generosity and community leadership continues to make a lasting difference. \
Thank you for being such valued partners in our mission to provide hope, healing, and empowerment. πŸ’œ

Earlier this week, our third-generation President & CEO, Cindi Bigelow, had the opportunity to visit our friends at The Center for Family Justice, Inc., an incredible local organization in Bridgeport, Connecticut that provides support, resources, and hope to individuals and families in need in our community.

During her visit, Cindi toured the Bigelow Wellness Studio and learned more about their important programs and services. She also got a special look at a play area that will be named in honor of her father, our second-generation Co-Chair, David C. Bigelow.

We’re grateful for all The Center for Family Justice does for our community! ❀️

Some of the most meaningful moments of healing don’t happen in an office or a classroom.
They happen around a campfire, on a hiking trail, beside a lake, and among friends who remind you that you’re not alone.πŸ•οΈ

Over the past two weeks, Camp HOPE America-Bridgeport youth returned from YMCA Camp Hi-Rock with stronger connections, greater confidence, and memories that will last a lifetime.

From our youngest campers braving a rainy first week to our teens embracing adventure, leadership, and friendship, each young person had the opportunity to discover their strengths, build resilience, and simply be a kid.

Camp HOPE is more than camp.
It’s a place where children and teens impacted by trauma find connection, belonging, and hope.

A special thank you to our incredible Camp HOPE Manager, Lisa, whose tireless work begins months before camp ever starts.
We’re also deeply grateful to the staff, counselors, volunteers, and mentors who dedicated their time, energy, and hearts to making these two weeks possible.

Thank you to Camp Hope America-Bridgeport, Camp Hi-Rock, the Elizabeth M. Pfriem Foundation, Binky Patrol Comforting Covers Southern Connecticut, and all of our supporters, donors, and community partners who help make this life-changing experience possible.

Together, we continue to build hope. πŸ’œ

We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together to support individuals and families throughout our communities.

What an incredible day!πŸŽ’πŸ“š

Our first-ever Ready, Set, Learn Community Fair brought together families, community partners, volunteers, and supporters for an afternoon filled with resources, school supplies, free haircuts, music, treats, and community connection.

A huge shout-out to everyone who donated backpacks and school supplies, our dedicated staff and volunteers, and our incredible Campus Advocacy Team, Nanja, Lauren, and Katie, whose vision and hard work brought this event to life.
