Many folks asked how to participate in our raffles. Just in time for those summer BBQS we are again selling tickets for 3 chances to win a Jacob and Son's gift card. $10 donation for each ticket with the drawing to be held on June 24, 2026 or sooner if all tickets are sold.

As usual, no more than 315 tickets will be sold, so get yours early. Tickets can be purchased at the PD or by seeing any Officer.

The Bridgeport Police Department has been notified by a Columbia Gas contractor that on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, starting at 8:00 am Kirkwood Heights Road will be intermittently closed due to maintenance work being performed. Please adjust your travel time accordingly.

Congratulations to our partners in public safety at the Bridgeport Fire Department on being awarded a $49,997.00 grant that will improve the service they provide to our community at no cost to residents. Congratulations to Chief Roth and his team!

Local fire stations received boosts from the recently-created Small County Volunteer Fire Department Grant Program with Martins Ferry set to receive $10,500 and Bridgeport awarded $49,997. Story link in comments.
