Introducing our new Seed Library & Exchange!

The Black Rock Seed Library & Exchange is a collection of seeds available for patrons to plant and grow at home. A collaboration with the Black Rock Garden Club, the collection started with donations from the Connecticut State Library, the City of Bridgeport Sustainability Office, and Sow Right Seed Company.

This Thursday 4/16 at 6:00 pm, Earthplace will be coming by to present The Significance of Seeds! They will teach us how seeds can travel, what they need to sprout and grow, and how to identify parts of a seed. Participants will then get to each dissect a seed of their own as well as get to handle many varieties of seeds, including the largest seed found in the world! No registration required.

Also, pick up an info flyer about our new Seed Library & Exchange, which will be open at the end of April! Created in partnership with the Black Rock Garden Club.
