Mayor Ganim and the City of Bridgeport invites Bridgeport families to our annual backpack giveaway on Saturday, August 15, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Margaret E. Morton Government Center. Backpacks will be distributed to Bridgeport students while supplies last.

Please note: Proof of Bridgeport residency is required, your child must be present to receive a backpack, and there is a limit of one backpack per child.

The Replenish Project is officially over halfway to its goal of providing school supplies to 500 students! Thanks to the generosity of community members, businesses, and organizations more than half of the goal has already been reached! Donations of new or gently used school supplies, backpacks and monetary contributions are being accepted through Thursday, August 20. Every donation, big or small, helps make sure local students have the supplies they need for a successful school year! 🍎📚✏️
