Reaching out to all my First Responder friends and family
As a First Responder, you not only serve and protect our community but also work in a high-stress environment that can take a toll on mental health. Recognizing warning signs of su***de - both in the people you serve and in your fellow first responders - is critical.
I would like to invite you and your team to an upcoming QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Su***de Prevention Training, designed specifically for first responders. This training will provide you with practical tools to identify warning signs, intervene effectively, and connect the individuals to the support they need.
A key focus of this session will be recognizing and supporting co-workers who may be struggling with suicidal thoughts. First Responders are often reluctant to ask for help, and having the knowledge to check in, start a conversation, and offer support can save a life - on or off duty.
Please find the attached flyer with full details on the training, including date, time, location and registration link. I encourage you to attend and share this opportunity with others in your department.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this email or contact Lori Mann at (740) 310-1964.
Thank you for your dedication to serving others. Let's also commit to looking out for each other. I hope to see you at the training.
