Cumberland County Office on Aging & Disability Services Programs and services for senior citizens age 60+ of Cumberland County, NJ

The Office on Aging & Disability Services has several primary functions:

1) Serving as a focal point for information, planning, coordination, and advocacy for programs and services for senior citizens age 60+, and for the disabled, through the Office for Disabled.

2) Planning and funding aging programs under the Older Americans Act, Social Service Block Grant, State Safe Housing & Transportation

Program and casino revenue funds.

3) Administering programs sponsored by the County Board of Chosen Freeholders including transportation through the Cumberland Area Transit System; home delivered meals through Cumberland County Meals on Wheels; the Congregate Luncheon Program for senior citizens; Cumberland County Outreach Information and Assistance; Cumberland County Tel-Assure; Cumberland County Retired & Senior Volunteer Program; Cumberland County Personal Assistance Services Program; Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program; and Cumberland County Office for Disabled. The Cumberland County Office on Aging and Disabled proudly joined the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office, NJ and participated in Wear Orange Day in recognition of Gun Safety Awareness Day!

By wearing orange, our staff joined individuals and organizations across the nation in raising awareness about gun safety and promoting safer communities for all. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of education, prevention, and working together to support the health and safety of our residents.

We are proud to stand with other departments and our community in recognizing this important cause and helping spread awareness throughout Cumberland County. 🧡

Beginning in June, our Outreach Staff will be available at the Vineland Senior Center through a satellite office location to better serve Cumberland County residents.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office will be hosting our next Triad Meeting, sponsored by Preferred Care, on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Millville Elks Lodge.

If you are 55 years of age or older and would like to attend this Triad event, please be sure to call the number listed on the flyer and leave your full name, phone number, and the number of guests who will be joining you. Please have all names for your party available. Reservations are now required, as they help us ensure a comfortable, safe, and well-prepared gathering. If the guest list is full, you will be placed on a waiting list. We can not guarantee a seat if you are placed on the waiting list.

The Cumberland County Office on Aging & Disabled is excited to introduce our new community walking program — the United Strides Club! 👟🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Starting June 11th, join us every Thursday morning at 10 AM at the Cumberland Mall (Food Court area) for a fun and welcoming group walking club designed for adults 60+ and all fitness levels. Whether you walk fast or slow, a little or a lot, everyone is welcome to walk at their own pace while enjoying good company and great conversations!

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, stay active, and connect with Office on Aging & Disabled staff to learn more about programs, services, and resources available throughout Cumberland County.
