Memory Café Recap 💜🎨🎶

Hey, look at us! 👀 This week was another wonderful Memory Café!

Our Memory Café is a dementia-friendly gathering for individuals experiencing dementia and their caregivers, providing a welcoming space to connect, socialize, have fun, and enjoy activities together. 💜

Wednesday, we enjoyed both music therapy 🎶 and art therapy 🎨, giving our participants the chance to express themselves, get creative, enjoy music, and share plenty of smiles along the way.

Memory Café is about more than the activities—it’s about connection, friendship, and creating positive moments together in a supportive and welcoming environment.

📅 Our next Memory Café will be Wednesday, September 23 at 12:00 noon!

💪🎉 Senior Strong Was a HUGE Hit at the Millville Sharing Center! 🎉💪

What a fantastic first class! We had an absolute blast kicking off Senior Strong at the Millville Sharing Center — and judging by all the smiles, laughs, and participation, our participants had just as much fun as we did! ❤️

Senior Strong is all about getting moving, building strength, improving balance, and having FUN while doing it. And our first class was proof that staying active doesn't have to feel like a chore!

And the best part? Senior Strong will be offered at each of Cumberland County's senior centers! 🎉

Interested in joining us? Give the senior center nearest you a call to find out when Senior Strong is held at that location and come get moving with us! 💪

A huge thank-you to everyone who came out and helped make our first class such a success. We can't wait to keep moving, laughing, and getting stronger together!

We were absolutely thrilled to be selected for a Drink Drop at our CATS Office this morning! 🥤❤️

🎨 The 2026 Cumberland County Senior Citizen Art Show is OPEN! 🖼️

Come see the incredible creativity and talent of Cumberland County’s older adults! Our annual Senior Citizen Art Show is now on display at the Cumberland County Library, featuring a wonderful collection of artwork created by talented local seniors.

And this year, we need YOU to help choose an award winner! 🏆

💜 Introducing the Community’s Choice Award!

We’re inviting the entire Cumberland County community to visit the exhibit and choose their favorite piece of artwork.

How to vote:
1️⃣ Visit the Senior Citizen Art Show at the library.
2️⃣ Browse the incredible artwork on display.
3️⃣ Pick your favorite piece!
4️⃣ Write the title of your favorite piece on a voting slip at the library reception desk.
5️⃣ Drop your completed slip in the Community’s Choice voting box. 🗳️

That’s it! Your vote will help determine which artwork receives this year’s Community’s Choice Award! 💜

🎉 Another Great Day at Riverwalk! 🥳🍽️

We had SO much fun — and so much success — with our first Nutrition Pop-Up at Riverwalk that we just had to do it again! And this time, we made it even bigger and more fun! ❤️

Last week, the Cumberland County Office on Aging & Disabled welcomed Riverwalk residents and members of the surrounding community inside for a day filled with lunch, laughter, games, and plenty of fun!

🎲 And let's talk about BINGO! We played all morning, had some serious competition, and sent plenty of winners home with some great prizes! 🏆🎁

Of course, the heart of the day was bringing people together over a delicious lunch while introducing residents and community members to the services and opportunities available through our Cumberland County Nutrition Program.

Events like this are about more than just a meal — they're about connection, community, and making sure our older adults know we're here for them. 💙

A huge thank-you to everyone who came out, played along, enjoyed lunch, and helped make the day such a success!

We had such a great time at Riverwalk… we may just have to do it again! 😉🎉
