The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners extends its sincere appreciation to all County departments, staff, municipalities, and community partners whose dedication to outreach and public health continues to make a difference.

New Jersey’s ranking No. 6 in Overall Healthcare and No. 1 in Public Health reflects the collective efforts of communities across the state. Cumberland County is proud to have contributed to that success.

U.S. News & World Report recently featured Megan Shephard of the Cumberland County Department of Health, highlighting Cumberland County’s innovative health initiatives, including PlayStreets. With a longstanding presence in Millville, PlayStreets provides youth and families with safe opportunities for active play, physical activity, and community connection.

This recognition is a shared accomplishment. The Commissioners thank everyone whose work in health, recreation, youth programming, outreach, and community services helps make Cumberland County a healthier, stronger place to live.
