Looking for a way to keep track of your cozy autumn reads? 🍂📚🍁The Cumberland County Teens Read program is an ongoing challenge designed to foster a love of reading in teens ages 13-18. We're so sad to hear that the Academy of Natural Sciences' museum will be closing. If you'd like to get in one last visit, our museum pass is available until the end of the month, when the museum will close their doors.

As you may be aware by now, the Academy of Natural Sciences will be closing its museum doors at the end of September. The decision was not made lightly, and we join all of you in recognizing that this is a loss for Philadelphia and the region. For nearly 200 years, the museum has been a welcoming space, creating memories for generations of families, schoolchildren, nature lovers and scientists. The Academy is more, however, than the galleries and display areas. Our collections containing more than 19 million specimens and our critical scientific research must be prioritized. We hope you will stay connected to the Academy and its mission of learning from and preserving the natural world.

The library will be closed in observance of Labor Day this Saturday, September 5th and Monday, September 7th. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8 for our regular hours.

WAY TO GO!!! We are THRILLED to announce that our friend read 1000 Books before Kindergarten and finished the challenge in a little over a year! Congratulations to him and his family for reaching this incredible milestone, building a great foundation for early literacy, and cultivating a lifelong love of learning! 🎉👏🎉👏
