The Bridgewater Parks Division is hosting their third annual Earth Day & Arbor Day experience on Sunday April 27th, 2024 at Chimney Rock Park from 2-4pm.

This is a free event with many nature-based, hands-on activities for participants of all ages!

Make pollinator seed bombs, paint with nature & take a guided hike through the trails of Chimney Rock Park. We have native seed packets and saplings to take the nature experience home with you.

In a terrific display of team building and volunteerism, led by Bridgewater resident David Fame, Ingredion employees installed inclusive playground equipment at Chimney Rock Park and shoveled six truckloads of mulch. Their core value of “Everybody Belongs” is an inspiration. There is more to come, but for now, thank you!!

Among the possible improvement: Indoor and outdoor basketball facilities, pickleball courts, a community and arts center, hiking and walking trails, wild life programs and historical preservation.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ – With help of a proposed $4 million federal grant, Bridgewater plans to move forward to transform the ramshackle Camp Cromwell into the jewel of the township’s recreation system.

When we asked “Can you dig it?” Bridgewater came out and dug in to volunteer. Countless families showed up and planted hundreds of pansies. Yes.. we know.. the deer. Well they have to eat too. But we have some ideas for next year. Ted from the Department of Public Works didn’t wear his cape but definitely earned a gold medal in our book.

Nature at Heart School made seed bombs and spread the love for all of our pollinator friends. Bridgewater Creative Arts Committee-BCAC swirled together some paintastic fun in nature. Gabriel's Fountain Kitchen & Creamery dished out free ice cream to all of our hard working gardeners and started a fundraiser for ADA inclusive playground equipment. Scout Troop 60029 took command at every booth. LifeTime.Life Bridgewater quenched our refreshement needs.

It was amazing. Drive by and take a look at what a community can do when they put their mind to it.
