Today, members of the Bridgewater Fire Department traveled to Boston to pay their respects and honor Boston Firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr., who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends and members of the Boston Fire Department.

We would also like to thank Lucini Bus Lines Inc. for generously donating transportation for our firefighters to attend the services.

We recently welcomed a local homeschool group to our station for a tour and fire safety presentation. Firefighter Gunnarson and Firefighter Handorff showed the group around the station, talked about fire safety, and answered lots of great questions.

The group was also lucky enough to see our firefighters participating in training while they were visiting, giving them a firsthand look at the dedication and preparation that goes into serving our community each day. Thanks for stopping by!

Last week, the Bridgewater Fire Department was happy to welcome a group from The Arc of Greater Brockton for a station tour!

Firefighters Ryan Forant and Billy Lieb gave the group a tour of the station, showed them one of our ambulances and an engine, and helped everyone see what a firefighter looks like in full protective gear. These visits are a great opportunity to help make emergency responders and equipment more familiar and less intimidating.

Thank you to The Arc of Greater Brockton for stopping by — we enjoyed having you visit us! 🚒🚑

This week, the Bridgewater Fire Department proudly recognizes and thanks our Firefighters who also serve as EMTs and Paramedics. These dedicated professionals provide compassionate, lifesaving care to our community every day — often during someone’s most difficult moments.

Whether responding to medical emergencies, accidents, fires, or public service calls, our EMS personnel work tirelessly to protect the health and safety of Bridgewater residents.

The 2026 EMS Week theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” highlights the teamwork and collaboration that make emergency medical services successful. We are grateful for the commitment, professionalism, and compassion our members bring to every call.

Please join us in thanking all EMS providers for the incredible work they do each and every day.

Prom season is here, and the Bridgewater Fire Department wants everyone to have a safe and memorable night.

Make smart choices:
• Never drink and drive — plan a safe ride home with a parent, friend, or rideshare
• Stay with your group and look out for one another
• Keep your phone charged and accessible
• Trust your instincts — if something doesn’t feel right, speak up

Parents, we encourage you to have open conversations with your teens about expectations and safety.

Let’s work together to ensure this special night ends with everyone home safe. Have fun, be responsible, and make it a night to remember for all the right reasons.

Last week, the Bridgewater Fire Department was proud to take part in two great events with the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District.

FF Mike Farias and FF Ryan Forant attended Kindergarten Welcome Night at BRRHS, helping to welcome incoming students and their families. With Engine 1 on site, students had the opportunity to see a fire truck up close and become more comfortable with firefighters and emergency apparatus in a school setting.

FF Billy Lieb also participated in the Pre-Prom Safety Event at Raynham Middle School. This important program brought together students and caregivers to discuss prom safety. FF Lieb presented on what we call “Honesty Saves Lives” which encourages students to be transparent and honest about what is going on so that first responders can help them. The event also included discussions on: Social Host Law, Good Samaritan Law, and Narcan. High Point provided over 100 students and families with Narcan.

We appreciate the opportunity to partner with our school community to promote safety, awareness, and preparedness.
