Sunday's meeting was an absolute blast!!! In honor of the holiday season, the Bridgewater State University Composite Squadron held a holiday party including games and refreshments provided by cadet and senior members.

In honor of the dedication and leadership of Squadron Commander Capt Loren Herren, the senior members gave him a scale model of a Cape Air Cessna 402 (the aircaft he flies professionally) with the added touch of the BSUCS charter number as the plane registration.

We at BSUCS also are saddened by the retirement of Maj Brian Brodeur. Major Brodeur has been a valued member of CAP for 26 years and has served as a frequent cadet orientation pilot and coordinator. Thank you for your dedicated service and commitment to the CAP mission. You will be greatly missed by all of us.

On Saturday, November 23, Cadet and Senior members of the Bridgewater State University Composite Squadron joined with members of the Pilgrim, Hanscom, and Westover squadrons in marching in this year's America's Hometown Thanksgiving Parade in Plymouth, MA. We also enjoyed the company of our new Wing Commander, Col Carleton Jones and new Deputy Commander, Lt Col Claire Belden, who marched with us.

Participants from the BSU Composite Squadron included: Maj Jennifer Bennett, 2d Lt Derek Bennett, 2d Lt Joshua Barton, C/SMSgt Josephine Brown, and C/SrA Samuel Zade.

Thank you to Lt Col Phil Balboni of the Pilgrim Squadron for organizing this activity. It was a cold and rainy day, but we look forward to participating again next year.

On Saturday, July 13th, Cadets Bose, Downey, Vlahos, and Zade along with Maj Bennett, Capt Herren, Capt Vigevani, and 2d Lt Bennett toured the Cape Air facilities at Cape Cod Gateway Airport in Hyannis. Pilot Recruiter, Cameron Withrow, presented on the history and operations of the airline. Maj Bennett spoke about her job as Safety Administrator. Each cadet and senior got behind the controls of the Cessna 402 simulator. We all got the "plane" safely on the ground. We also toured the maintenance hangar and Capt Herren showed off one of the Cessna 402s he flys.

Thank you to Capt Herren, Maj Bennett, and Cameron Withrow for coordinating the tour! We're looking forward to a possible flight to Boston in the Fall.
