Training today can make a difference tomorrow.

Last week, BSUPD hosted two CPR/AED certification classes for members of the BSU community. Training was provided to Biology and Pre-Health students as well as graduate students from the Speech, Language & Literacy Center.

We’re proud to support our campus community with the knowledge and skills needed to respond in an emergency.

Interested in CPR/AED training for your group or department? Contact Deputy Chief Michael Froio at [email protected] for more information.

🌧️ NOR’EASTER SAFETY REMINDER 🌧️

A nor’easter is expected to impact our area Friday and Saturday, bringing heavy rain and strong winds, with gusts potentially reaching 40–50 mph.

Take a few minutes to prepare before the storm arrives:

• Secure loose outdoor items.

• Stay clear of trees, large branches, and power lines.

• Never approach a downed wire — always assume it is energized.

• Avoid unnecessary travel and never drive through flooded roadways.

• Charge phones and essential devices and keep a flashlight available in case of a power outage.

• If you’re on campus, watch for falling debris, standing water, and slippery conditions.

• Monitor weather conditions and BSU emergency notifications for updates.

Please stay safe, use extra caution, and look out for one another throughout the storm.

In an emergency, call 911 or BSUPD: 508-531-1212
