LAST CALL FOR POETRY SUBMISSIONS!

Adams County Poet Laureate Aerik Francis invites you to submit your works for a chance to be included in the second official Adams County Poet Laureate community anthology.

Featuring works from the community alongside works by Aerik Francis, Chromatic Conversations: Colorado in Verse will be a collection of works reflecting on the colors and chronicles of Colorado and the people who call it home as the state turns 150 years old. Poets are invited to explore Colorado’s narrative and their own, bringing that past into a conversation with the future.

Come experience “Homecoming,” a new exhibition by Brighton-raised artist Javier Flores at Taza Gallery and Coffee House.

Featuring a mix of older works and new pieces, this exhibition reflects Flores’ artistic journey and return to his roots through printmaking, painting, and drawing. It explores themes of culture, identity, ecology, masculinity, loss, and triumph.

“Homecoming” is on view through September.

There is no such thing as a typical day for the Adams County Rangers! The Rangers retrieved an abandoned watercraft today from one of our open space properties.

“Skiffy” was trying to find a new home, and had “free boat” written on its side. As a reminder, all watercraft, free or not, are not permitted in Adams County’s parks and open space waters.
