Phase 1 of the new Brillion Wastewater Treatment Facility is making great progress!

One of the committees I am on is the Library Board. We have been talking recently about some building upgrades, specifically to lighting and water meter. Library Director received some quotes for LED upgrade project and I was happy to present and fully support the request to the City Council for approval on Monday. Even though it wasn’t budgeted capital improvement, it made sense to approve and move forward with replacement of water meter and the LED upgrade project. Both projects will pay themselves off quickly with reductions in water and electric bills. We are also looking at a Focus on Energy rebate. Savings of estimated $141 per quarter on water bill and $4k a year in electricity bills.

At Mondays council meetings, we approved moving funds from TIDS 3 and 4 to the TID 5 fund. This will allow for continued growth opportunities on the old Brillion Iron Works Property. TID 3/4 scheduled to be closed in 2027. TID money is often used for improvements to infrastructure or in some cases for investor incentives vs budgeted funds. Still learning all about these. 🤷‍♂️

What an incredible day!

Thanks to the generosity of our employees, customers, sponsors, volunteers, Missions of Honor and everyone who came out to support our annual Brat Fry, we are proud to announce that we raised $52,363 for Old Glory Honor Flight!

This event is about more than serving great food. It's about giving back to the veterans who have given so much for our country. Every dollar raised helps provide these deserving heroes with the opportunity to visit the memorials built in their honor.
