Bay Mills Community College BMCC is one of three tribally controlled colleges in the State of Michigan, and the only community college in Michigan’s Eastern Upper Peninsula.

As a 1994 Land Grant institution, BMCC works closely with land grant partners, such as Michigan State University to provide service and expertise to the Bay Mills Indian Community and the surrounding region. The only other institution of higher education in the EUP is Lake Superior State University (LSSU), which is located 25 miles east in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan.

🛠️ Summer workshops are coming to Bay Mills Community College!

The Construction Technology program is opening its doors to the community for two hands-on workshops. Space is limited with only 10 spots per workshop - so don’t wait!

We are proud to announce that Bay Mills College’s Early Childhood Education Program has received the MOSPA Program Award for 2025-2026 – recognizing our commitment to students with special needs in career and technical education.

This honor shines a light on our HOPE initiative (Honoring Our People through Education), which has exceeded every expectation in enrollment, persistence, and academic success. With an 84% retention rate – above the college average – our ECE program is making a real difference for tribal nations and communities across the country.

‼️ Please note that the Soo Co-Op ATM has been moved and is now located in the MCP Building, near the door where the former Soo Co-Op office was located.

ATM hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. BMCC ATM will "not be available" on holidays and may not be available on unscheduled school closings for the duration of the construction project.

We broke ground today! 🚧

Bay Mills Community College’s new Allied Health Facility is officially on its way – a 36,000 sq ft home for nursing sim labs, EMT training, a new library, and more.

Chi miigwech to everyone who joined us – including our amazing students, BMCC leadership, Bay Mills Indian Community, DSGW Architecture, and Miron Construction Co., Inc. Your energy and belief in this vision mean everything.
