Serving Virginia students in grades 6-11 with a full-time, tuition-free online public school program and the kind of connection that helps kids grow into confident learners. True to our name, we believe meaningful connections drive better academic outcomes, so we build a strong circle of support that unites students, families, and educators. Beyond academics, our teachers focus on building fundamental life skills, partnering with families to help students learn how they learn best. Here, students gain the skills needed to thrive in the real world by becoming resourceful and resilient. On Friday, October 16, students and families participated in field trips across the state. We visited Carter's Mountain Orchard, Chrysler and Glass Studio, Red Door Escape Room, the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, and a rock-climbing facility.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month! On Wednesday, October 14, we’re asking all students and staff to wear BLUE in support of National Stop Bullying Day 💙

This day encourages all of us to be upstanders—people who stand up for others, safely speak or act when they see bullying, and make it clear that bullying behavior is not acceptable.

Wear blue and help us stand together against bullying!

“Discipline and creating a regular routine are the keys to success,” is the advice Jaesen K., a two-year Learning Coach, would give new online learners. He chose Virginia Connections Academy for his son, ninth-grader Christian, because of the flexibility and opportunities for more concentrated learning and assistance.

Outside the classroom, he enjoys design, art, and fashion. Together, he and Christian created Foot Solejerz, a faith-fueled animated series following Christian, a former Navy SEAL turned street preacher, and his brotherhood of Foot Soldiers as they walk into broken, hurting towns to fight two kinds of battles: physical and spiritual. Each episode connects with a product release from their Christian Alexander Clothiers brand, allowing their story and brand to move together. 🎨

We just finished up our first round of in-person testing at Virginia Connections Academy and our staff, students, and families reveled in the chance for some face time. We traveled to Lynchburg, VA Beach, Roanoke, Richmond, Hampton, Fredericksburg, Manassas, and Wi******er. 💜
