We would like to wish the brave, dedicated law enforcement professionals of the Bristol, R.I. Police Department a Happy Police Week. Thank you for your steadfast commitment to protecting this historic community. Law Enforcement and EMS frequently interact on calls, and we are truly lucky to have such fine standing individuals serving and protecting the town.

We also take this week to remember those who passed in the line of service across this country.

We would also like to shout other other law enforcement agencies we interact with: DEM, RISP, and USCG to name a few.

This weekend we spring ahead (and lose an hour of sleep 😭). It’s also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Happy and safe New Year! We here at Paramedic Systems, along with our Bristol Fire and Police partners, and mutual aid, continue to provide top notch patient care during extreme circumstances.

In 2023, we responded to approximately 3,600 calls for service. We continue to stand ready for the next 365 days to provide Paramedic level evaluation and treatment to the fine citizens of Bristol, RI.

We would like to acknowledge Bristol Fire Department-RI, Bristol, R.I. Police Department, and our mutual aid partners for continuing our 35+ year partnership. We also would like to reflect on, and remember, two or our PSI family who passed this past year: Gozie Chalker and John Moss. These men helped lead the way for EMS and dedicated their loves to helping others. In 2024, let us try to live up to their ideals day in and day out.

Happy New Year

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Another day of the traffic caused by the Washington Bridge closure, but Gov. Dan McKee and the Rhode Island Department of Transportation announced a new way to help commuters travel in an effort to reduce congestion. Officials said that starting Monday there will be a fer...

For those in Bristol concerned about the Washington Bridge closure

1) 195 Bypass Lanes were opened at 1am this morning on the Eastbound side. This is 2 lanes instead of 4, so there is still expected to be traffic congestion.
2) RIDOT is reactivating the PVD to Bristol Ferry on Monday. The ferry will leave every 30 min, weather dependent, and run from India Point Park to Bristol. There will be shuttles at the docks to shuttle passengers (Bristol- C**t State Park for parking, PVD- Kennedy Plaza, Train Station)
3) RIDOH is telling pregnant women in the East Bay, if you go into labor, call for an ambulance. They are even willing to reimburse patients who qualify.
4) If a patient requires a Providence hospital, family members will be asked to not follow the Rescue to the hospital due to utilizing the Emergency Vehicle Bypass.

RIDOT, RIDOH, and RIEMA have been fantastic partners in making sure emergency vehicle access has been considered and implemented. We want to make sure to highlight their diligent efforts to ensure the safety and health of all Rhode Islanders

We also want to highlight the immediate response undertaken by your Bristol Fire Department as events have unfolded to ensure hospital access and continued excellence in patient care while under difficult circumstances. The citizens of Bristol should feel proud to have such an engaging command staff heading up the Fire Dept, who met this challenge head on.

Stay safe. Stay healthy. And we wish everyone a happy holiday season.

11/23/2023

We would like to wish our Bristol community a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving. And we would also like to extend a Happy Thanksgiving to our employees, their families, and the crews who are selflessly working today.
