October 11th. That is the deadline to apply to the 91st Indiana State Police Lateral Academy and the 92nd Indiana State Police Traditional Academy.

Pay starts at $70,000 a year with yearly increases through year 15 where you will make $112,000 a year. Troopers assigned to the Toll Road Post make an additional $6,000 a year.

NIGHTTIME VISIBILITY

Fall is here and that means less hours of daylight as we head towards winter.

This is a good time to check that you have operational lights…all of them…

Nighttime visibility can be affected by a dirty windshield as well. If you can’t remember the last time you cleaned the inside of your windshield, make today the day.

🛣️ FRIDAY ROAD CHECK 🛣️

Weather: Plan on nearly perfect fall weather as you travel the Indiana Toll Road this weekend. Partly sunny ☀️ with highs in the mid 60’ after the Friday clouds move out.

🚧Construction 🚧: Work continues on Exit 72 to southbound US 31. Plan on a moving operation from Angola to the Ohio line. Patch work causing lane restrictions from the 11 mile marker to 16.5 mile marker should conclude Saturday night. Pay attention as you drive.

Traffic 🚚🚙🚗: Notre Dame travels to North Carolina so no game day traffic this weekend.

Troopers will be out doing their part to keep the roads safe. Drive safe, follow the speed limit, and buckle up!
