Bristol Tennessee City Schools and Bristol Tennessee Parks & Rec brought the Power of Play Youth Sports Day to the TMS track in May, and it was a great night for our community! Pre-K through 5th grade students competed in track and field events, tried their hand at tennis, football, basketball, and softball stations run by Tennessee High athletes and coaches, and enjoyed everything from the Vendor Village to the BTCS Book Bus.
Thank you to Ballad Health for sponsoring this free event, and thank you to every family, student, and volunteer who made the night such a success.

🏈🛞 Come be a part of one of Bristol's most unique traditions!

On Friday, June 12, Tennessee High School and Virginia High School will once again meet on State Street for the V-T Tire Flip. Beginning at 6 p.m., student-athletes from both schools will race to move a massive tire down the center of State Street.

Be sure to stop by and visit one of our most beloved Vikings, Shamas, who will be cheering on the teams from the Tri Star Spine and Sports parking lot (126 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.). Shamas plans to arrive early and would love to see friends and fellow fans.

Come support the Vikings, say hello to Shamas, and be part of a Bristol tradition!

Each fall, the Bristol Tennessee City Schools Athletic Hall of Fame proudly recognizes the remarkable athletes, teams, coaches, administrators, and special contributors who have shaped the rich athletic tradition of our city. The Hall of Fame includes members from Tennessee High School and Slater High School.

This video spotlights Dave Rutherford, a 1968 graduate of Tennessee High School who competed in both baseball and basketball.

In this interview, Dave reflects on the special memories he made on the baseball field alongside his brother, Ben Rutherford, who was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame last year. He also shares advice for today's student-athletes, encouraging young people to make their grades their top priority.
