🎉 WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU AT OUR SUMMER READING KICKOFF! 🎉

Join us tomorrow, Saturday, May 30th, from 5:00–7:00 PM for an evening of fun for the whole family!

🍽️ Dinner is covered! Enjoy hot dogs, chips, snow cones, popcorn, and your choice of water or lemonade.

🦖 Activities include:

Inflatable dino waterslide
Sidewalk chalk
Paint-a-dino with Amber
Outdoor games
Archaeology 101 at 5:30 PM
Sign up for Summer Reading and receive a registration prize.
Enter to win tickets to Kentucky Kingdom, 4-H, the State Fair, and a Mini Tapple.

📚 Our June Summer Reading programs will include:

Indiana Dinosaur Museum (June 11th)
Foxwood Rehabilitation (June 18th)
Dinosaur movie night with a prehistoric picnic (June 25th)
Dino craft week (June 29th-July 2nd)

We can’t wait to kick off a summer full of learning, fun, and dinosaurs! 🦕

🌟 SENSORY FRIENDLY LIBRARY HOUR 🌟

Beginning in June, the library will open early on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM–10:00 AM for a Sensory Friendly Library Hour.

This dedicated hour is intended for individuals and families with sensory and/or neurodivergent needs to check out books, browse, use computers, or just spend time in the library.

During this time, we will offer:
📚 Softer lighting (some lights turned off to reduce brightness)
🎧 Noise-canceling headphones available to borrow (limited quantity)
💛 A welcoming space where movement, stimming, and vocalizing are expected and welcome.

This hour is open to all ages, whether you're 5 or 55. No registration is required.

We are excited for our upcoming Spa-Tacular You event and are looking for a few additional items to help make the day extra special!

We are currently looking to borrow an outdoor tent with walls for September 10th that could accommodate around 20–25 people. If you or someone you know can help, please give us a call at 574-848-7458.

We are also welcoming small giveaway donations in quantities of 100, such as pocket-size tissues, facial masks, chapstick, nail polish, or other self-care items for attendees to enjoy.

We truly appreciate everyone who helps support library programs and events for our community!
