An awesome time with our brothers and sisters in blue. We thought we'd let them win because it was so close to National Donut Day and we knew they'd keep the celebration going: next year will be a different story.

All jokes aside, BFD and KESO work hand-in-hand daily to serve our communities. Building relationships, competitively or not, improves performance when seconds count. Thank you to Kenosha Kingfish and Kenosha County Sheriff's Office for a great day at the ballpark!

Here's how we spent the month of May at BFD.
Over the past month, our department has responded to a number of calls, ranging from medical emergencies and vehicle accidents to fire incidents and public assistance requests. No matter what it may be, BFD members are here 24/7 to answer the call. Thank you for the continued support and stay safe!

🇺🇸Happy Memorial Day Weekend🇺🇸

From all of us at BFD, we extend our deepest gratitude to those who gave everything in service to our nation.

This weekend we pause to honor, remember, and pay tribute to all of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe at home. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

Memorial Day also brings a time of gatherings and cookouts. We at BFD want to remind you of some grilling safety!

🍔General Grill Safety🌭

* Use propane and charcoal grills outdoors only.
* Keep grills well away from structures including siding, deck railings, eaves, and overhanging branches.
* Keep children and pets at least 3 feet away from the grill area.
* Never leave a grill unattended while cooking.
* Clean grease and fat buildup regularly to reduce fire risk.
*In the event of a grease fire, NEVER apply water: Safely close the lid, turn off burners and fuel sources, wait until the grill completely cools.
*Call 911 immediately if assistance is needed or if you have any doubts as to if the fire is extinguished.

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend, and stay safe!
