Today is EMS recognition day! We wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible work that our members put in everyday. From showing up prepared for calls, to investing in training and education, to providing support for one another- we truly couldn’t ask for a better crew.

Today is Save-A-Life day! To spread awareness, we wanted to share some important content regarding identifying cardiac arrest, and what to do in these situations.

We have some amazing graduating seniors to celebrate!

Jake Masino, AEMT crew chief and driver, is graduating from UVM! After graduation he plans to build a van and do some traveling, then apply to medical school 🚐🩺

Aly Sanchez, EMT driver, is graduating from UVM! After graduation she plans to continue running at BRS while preparing to return to school in the spring for a post-bacc program and pursue her Doctorate in Nurse Practioning! 🚑

Malia Po***ck, AEMT driver, graduated from Middlebury College this past January! Since graduating, she has started working as an ED Tech and NMC and begun paramedic school at Pro CFM. She also obtained her AEMT license and is continuing to run at BRS as a newly certified AEMT! 🏥

Alicia Rosato, AEMT crew chief and driver, is graduating from UVM! After graduation she plans to work as an AEMT in Kings Canyon National Park for the summer season, then return to Burlington and continue to work on services in the area 🏞️

We want to thank these incredible students for their hard work and dedication to BRS throughout their collegiate careers and wish them the best in their bright futures!

Our weekly member spotlight this week is EMT Katie M! Katie has been a member for 6.5 years and currently fulfills roles as a driver, attendant, and IFT crew chief. In her free time, Katie enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles! Her favorite thing about BRS is having the opportunity to serve in the town she grew up in. She also says that she loves how BRS is like an extended family- everyone looks out and cares for each other. Thank you Katie for all you do!
