Today, we pause to remember the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reflects a selflessness few are called to, and we honor the legacy they leave behind.

As we gather with family and friends, may we also take a moment to pray for the families carrying the weight of loss, for those who have served, and for our nation. We are reminded that freedom comes at a cost, and gratitude should never be reserved for only one day.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” Matthew 5:9

There are seasons in life when we need to receive, and seasons when we are able to give.
The truth is, many of us have experienced both. Sometimes we need support, encouragement, grace, or a helping hand. Other times, we are blessed with the opportunity to be the one offering hope to someone else.

At the Haven, we witness both every day. We see individuals receiving meals, shelter, resources, compassion, and a reminder that they are not alone. We also see generous supporters, churches, volunteers, businesses, and community members choosing to give — often quietly, without recognition, simply because they care.

Neither hand is more important than the other. Receiving takes humility, and giving takes compassion. Together, they create hope.

Thank you to everyone who continues to give through donations, time, prayers, and encouragement.
Because of you, lives are impacted, burdens are lifted, and hope is restored.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Burger Bar & King University for their generous food donations this week.

Their kindness helped provide meals for our residents as well as individuals in our community.

Today, we celebrate the women whose love changes lives every single day. 💐

To the mothers, grandmothers, foster moms, spiritual mothers, and mother figures in our community — thank you for the countless sacrifices, prayers, hugs, encouragement, and quiet acts of love that often go unseen. Your strength and compassion leave a lasting impact on generations.

We also hold close in our hearts those who may find today difficult — those missing their mothers, longing to be mothers, or carrying heavy memories today. You are not forgotten.

Yesterday’s open house was such a meaningful reminder of how far we’ve come since the fire last July. What once felt overwhelming has turned into a season of rebuilding, growth, and gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, encouraged, prayed for, and stood beside us throughout this journey. Seeing our community walk through our doors yesterday meant more than words can express.

This past year has not been easy, but it has shown us the strength of this mission and the incredible people who believe in it. We are grateful for every person who helped us move forward and excited for all that’s ahead.

Again, we want to thank Paul Davis Restoration of the Greater Tri Cities for their amazing work.

We are currently in urgent need of bottled water💧

With the number of individuals and families we serve each day, this is one of our most essential items—and we’re running low.

5 nights a week, the Haven provides the Bristol community members (individuals & families) with a dinner meal. Bottled water is given to each individual, sometimes 2 bottles of water.
On average, 500-800 bottles of water are handed out EACH WEEK!

If you’re able to help, donations can be dropped off at

Every case makes a difference and goes directly to those in need.
