Once a Ronald McDonald House Family, always a Ronald McDonald House Family. ❤️

While Harlow and Hadley were in the NICU, the Rardon family found comfort and support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri. Now, the twins have made it a tradition to give back by volunteering at the House each year, even spending part of their birthday this year packing lunches and preparing a meal for families staying at the House.

What better way to spend my weekend than helping volunteer at the Waterloo elks lodge for their weekly bingo night! Had a blast, as usual!

Sometimes we feel like we are in a rut or our mental health isn’t in the best space.

Just out of curiousness, what do you do to help ground yourself and get back to a happier and healthier mindset?

A friend of mine, Chinna Mack mentioned a few podcasts that help with backtracking the bad thoughts in the mind, to turn them into positive outcomes, as well has help heal trauma. I’ve been listening to a few and I can already feel myself starting to want to make a change into finding out why I do certain things and how to make them better for myself.

Check out these podcasts and see for yourself. I’m also willing to try your suggestions and advice as well! Remember, you need to take care of yourself and you can’t forget to take care of the brain.
