Bristol - RI Republican Town Committee Welcome to the official page for the Bristol Republican Town Committee in Bristol, Rhode Isand! CONTACT US: [email protected]

Welcome to the official page for the Bristol Republican Town Committee in Bristol, Rhode Island! Our town is well known for the oldest continuous and most patriotic 4th of July parade in the nation. The Bristol Republican Town Committee represents the very same principles of a free enterprise laisssez-faire capitalist economic system, limited government, low taxes, individual responsibility and

accountability and constitutional reverence that the national republican party stands for and our founding fathers embraced and codified in the Declaration of Indpendence and the United States Connstitution, but with a local Bristol perspective. We are members of a "Big Tent" party, who are always looking for new members with fresh ideas for making things better for all within our community. Whether new to local politics or a regular attendee at town council and various local board and commission meetings, we are always looking for fellow citizens who share our concerns that the status quo with our politics, especially at the state and national levels are simply unsatisfactory and thus unacceptable. Effective change will never come unless good people step up and participate. We meet on the first Monday of the month, EVERY MONTH, at The Burnside Building at 400 Hope Street. Please join our page to get the latest updates on our committee happeinings as well as occasional news highlights from across the state.

I know I’m new to politics. I am not new to policy, government programs, or bureaucracy.

I spent most of my career working across Medicaid, community programs, federal grants, healthcare operations, accreditation, patient support, and the systems and regulations behind them. I was often the person on the other side of the table from bureaucrats, figuring out how to make rigid government programs actually work for patients, families, and frontline workers.

I know how these systems operate. I know how policy gets embedded into them, where unnecessary bureaucracy builds up, and where change actually has to happen.

That is why I got involved.

I started as an Independent because I cared more about policy than party. I never switched my actual platform but as I started networking - the clearer it became that the solutions to our problems align with the Republican platform.

Today, I’m a proud Republican, a member of my local committee, and committed to moving that platform forward.

Strip away the national rhetoric and the core message is straightforward: affordable and reliable energy, less unnecessary regulation, fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, and decisions made as close to the people as possible.

We are a massive country. Washington should not assume Providence, Rhode Island and rural Arkansas need the same solutions. Federalism matters. States matter. Communities matter.

I’m still learning the political side of this work, and I’m fine saying that. Policy is my foundation; politics is the skill set I’m building around it.

And I refuse to leave Rhode Island.

I love my house, my neighbors, my street, and my three-family Colonial in the most Irish way possible.

My babies were born here, and I will raise them here.

I don’t want families like mine to feel like they have to leave for cheaper energy, lower taxes, better schools, or less bureaucracy.

This is my home.

I didn’t get involved in politics to escape Rhode Island.

I got involved because I believe we can fix it.
