The "Adopt a Class" scholarship brought 74 students from North Cape School to Pringle Nature Center for two field trips: 4K-5K students participated in a "Sensory Exploration of the Environment" field trip and 1st-2nd grade students participated in a "Wetlands" field trip. We had a great time using our senses to explore nature with the preK-Kindergartners, and investigating the ephemeral and permanent pond habitats with the 1st-2nd graders. North Cape is a public school in Franksville, WI with many students in these classes considered English Language Learners/English as a Second Language. Students learned about habitats, seasons, and Wisconsin plants and animals prior to the field trips. THANK YOU to the generous donors who made this experience possible!

The "Adopt a Class" scholarship funds nature field trips for schools in the greater Kenosha area. Pringle Nature Center Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) nature center and donations are tax deductible. To contribute to the "Adopt a Class" fund or apply for a field trip, please visit www.pringlenc.org/adopt-a-class.

Another success of the "Adopt a Class" scholarship: 48 2nd grade students from Frank Elementary joined Pringle Nature Center for a "Habitats" field trip exploring the prairie, pond, and forest habitats of Bristol Woods. Students enthusiastically used hand lenses to observe worms up-close, counted macroinvertebrates in the pond, and learned about the things plants and animals need to survive. This class also wanted to help protect the park, so they spent some time pulling invasive garlic mustard. Frank Elementary is a Title 1 public school in Kenosha, and the field trip scholarship enabled them to participate in a nature field trip at Pringle Nature Center when they otherwise would not have had funds to do so. THANK YOU to the generous donors who made this experience possible!

πŸ‘πŸ™ŒTHANK YOU to all the runners, hikers, cheering sections, volunteers, staff, and sponsors who made this year's Wildflower Run fundraiser possible! We enjoyed a beautiful spring day in Bristol Woods running or hiking 5k and 2-mile courses, and participants took home snacks, race t-shirts, and flowers. It takes a lot of help to put on events like this that benefit Pringle Nature Center, and allow us to provide the free and low-cost nature programming that we do year-round.

Thank you to our volunteers, board members, and staff for all of their help setting up courses, getting refreshments and flowers, and putting the event on. Thank you to our generous sponsors for making this event possible: Thrivent, Rust-Oleum, Schutt Family Farm, Kwik Trip, Festival Foods in Kenosha, Edenhofer Law Offices, Keith Gray County Board Supervisor, and Mindy Cooling StateFarm Agent.

We can't wait to see you at the Bristol Woods Trail Run (November 7th), or next year for the 2027 Wildflower Run!
