The results were not what we hoped for, but that doesn’t change how incredibly proud and grateful I am for everyone who came together to support our campaign.
One election result does not define what we’ve built together.
When this campaign began, we had no political machine, no established network, and no big-money backing. All we had was an idea that Southwest Virginia deserved better and a goal to send Morgan Griffith home.
Over the past 14 months, what started as a campaign became something bigger. It became a movement. A movement powered for the people, by the people.
I’ve met so many amazing people who graciously gave their time, opened their homes, knocked doors in extreme heat, made phone calls after work, donated money, and refused to believe that Southwest Virginia has to settle for the status quo.
To every volunteer, supporter, donor, friend, and neighbor who stood with me throughout this journey: THANK YOU.
Your time, your hard work, and your belief in what we have been building made this movement possible. I am eternally grateful to each of you.
Although this campaign has come to an end, our mission has not.
Morgan Griffith still needs to be voted out this November. We support Joy Powers in her effort to defeat him. We will do what we can come November to make that happen.
This campaign has never been about one candidate or one election. It has always been about building a movement that fights for the future Southwest Virginia deserves
So don’t let this be the end. Stay engaged. Keep organizing. Keep showing up for each other.
The relationships we have built over the last 14 months don’t disappear into thin air because an election is over.
It has been a pleasure to campaign alongside Powers and Crockett. While we didn't always agree, we shared a commitment to the people of Southwest Virginia.
In that spirit to represent the Fighting Ninth, we must remember the fight never ends until we have a future we all deserve! 🇺🇸
