🚨 Did you know that the Nokesville Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department owns and operates a 100% volunteer Canteen Unit?
💪 Our Canteen Unit is a specialized emergency vehicle designed to support emergency personnel on the scenes of prolonged incidents, inclement weather conditions, or incidents requiring larger scale responses than usual. The Canteen Unit’s job is to provide hot and/or cold food and beverages, snacks, hand warmers, and other small amenities to support emergency personnel operating on these incidents - keeping them warm or cool, full, nourished and refreshed so they can continue to be ready to operate for extended periods of time in any conditions they may face!
🚒 Housed at Fire Station 25 in Bristow, this Canteen Unit is the only Emergency Vehicle of its kind within the Prince William County Fire & Rescue System. Not only does this unit respond to incidents within Prince William County, but is available upon request throughout the Northern Virginia and DC area!
