On this day in 1933…Due to complications from abdominal surgery, Robert W. Chambers died in New York City at the age of 68. His body was transported to the author's home in Broadalbin, New York where, as per his wishes he was buried beneath his favorite oak tree. His wife Elsie later had his body moved to the family plot at Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery.

48 days until Christmas. Questions are being asked if we are holding The Cookie Stroll again this year. Yes we are. It is December 14th from 1-6pm. It will again start with a ticket purchase at the library where attendees will get their map for the places on the tour. If you want to get in on the stroll, by hosting or just baking cookies, let us know. Teaser: One house has a collection of life size Santas that will be part of the future mansion decorations.
