On this day in 1933…Due to complications from abdominal surgery, Robert W. Chambers died in New York City at the age of 68. His body was transported to the author's home in Broadalbin, New York where, as per his wishes he was buried beneath his favorite oak tree. His wife Elsie later had his body moved to the family plot at Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery.
