The library is closed in celebration of this important day.

Today we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the beauty of Black culture. Visit the BRONDIHOUSE Collection and Ang Williams’ artwork through the month of June right here at the Broadview Public Library.

History is not just in textbooks — it’s in the masks, the paintings, the stories on these walls. We hope you’ll stop by.

📢 Holiday Hours Reminder

In honor of Juneteenth, the Broadview Public Library District will close today at 5:00 PM.

We will reopen on Saturday, June 20, at 10:00 AM and look forward to serving you then.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865: the day enslaved people in Texas finally learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Preserving that history through art and artifacts is a way to make sure it’s never forgotten. 🎨✊🏾

This June, the Broadview Public Library District honors Juneteenth with something truly special. We are proud to present the BRONDIHOUSE Collection, a powerful collection of African & African American art, artifacts, and memorabilia curated by ShaRhonda & Brian Dawson in our display case. Our walls are graced with the breathtaking and profound artwork by artist Ang Williams.
