On Monday, the Geometry in Construction Class put on some final touches of the musical set assembling the terrace railing. Among working other set peices, the last few weeks have included assembling 12-foot tall arches, installing wheels on them, and taking the stainglass windows up to the stage. GIC students have been working hard building the set for this year's BHS Musical, The Sound of Music. This included building 3 sets of stairs. Students learned how to lay out and cut stair stringers. They applied geometry concepts, including Pythagorean Theorem and slope. Come see the musical next month to see their work! Opening night is Thursday, Feb. 12th.
