The Broadway Emergency Squad, Inc. is a dedicated team of highly trained volunteers that has been providing Emergency Medical Services in the Northern portion of Rockingham County since 1953. We proudly serve over 215 square miles out of two stations. Our main station is jointly staffed with 24/7 career staff provided by Rockingham County Department of Fire and Rescue. Additionally, we provide first-aid and CPR/AED training to the community to broaden our outreach.

Friends, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brent Eaton, today August 18 2026.

Brent Eaton, was a faithful and dedicated LIFE member of the Broadway Emergency Squad. Who poured himself, his time, and his heart into serving the community we love.

For many years, Brent proudly served as an EMR and driver. Always willing to answer the call and help those in need. His commitment to the Broadway community went far beyond the squad. For many years Brent also organized the Broadway Emergency Squad’s Toy Show, bringing people together and creating a tradition and memories that so many looked forward to.

Brent's dedication, kindness, service, and love for his family and community left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His years of service touched many lives and will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Brent. You answered the call, served with your heart, and made a difference. ❤️ Your watch is over. We’ll take it from here. Your Rescue 50 and 55 Family. ❤️
