Brockport Fire District

Brockport Fire District Official page of the Brockport Fire District serving Brockport, Sweden and Clarkson The Brockport Fire Department was organized in 1832.

In 1877 after a large fire in the Village, a reorganization occurred that led to the five companies being organized which would serve the community well until another reorganization in 2006 when the five companies from the late 1800's would consolidate into one organization; the Brockport Volunteer Firefighter's Association. The Brockport Fire District was created in 2012 to manage the organization and oversee the tax monies for the Association formerly owned by the Village of Brockport.

21 Eisenhauer Drive T/Sweden

The Brockport Fire District and Rochester Airport Fire Department were dispatched to 21 Eisenhauer Dr. for the possible plane on fire.

2C23 and 2C33 arrived on scene, found that there was no fire, just a mechanical issue. This caused the pilot to conduct an emergency landing due to losing the prop on the plane and suffering catastrophic motor failure.

No one was injured and the FAA is investigating the incident.

May 26, 2026 Redman Road North of the Erie Canal

Shortly after 10 PM, the Brockport Fire District was toned out for a vehicle on fire near the intersection of Redman Road and West Canal Road.

SUNY University Police, Brockport PD, and 2C13 arrived to find that the 2009 Hummer was fully involved and it was actually at the parking area for the canal path off of Redman Rd on the north side of the canal.

Pumper 234 arrived and used an 1 3/4" hose from the front bumper to extinguish the fire. Pumper 232 arrived and supplied extra water and Pumper 233 stood by at the scene.

The owner of the vehicle was on scene and confirmed no one else had been in the vehicle.

As always, we do not comment on, or speculate on the cause of the fire. We ask that you don't either on our post. Thank you

Weekly Drill - Vehicle Extrication

Tuesday evening, your local firefighters visited Gallo's Performance Auto Parts on Drake Road to practice automobile extrication.

Rick Gallo and his team were kind enough to let us use their facility for training. Rick set up some cars to simulate an accident so that crews could extricate patients from the vehicles.

We also had a third car set up for some of our newer members to learn how certain tools work and practice with them. If you would like to watch us cut up a car, mark your calendars for our Fire Fest Event on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Thank you to Rick Gallo and the Performance Auto Parts team for allowing us to use your business for training. We truly appreciate it.

BROCKPORT AREA VETERANS CLUB HONORS FALLEN HEROES
Saturday, May 23, 2026

In a long-standing annual tradition, members of the Brockport Area Veterans Club gathered on Saturday, May 23, 2026 despite the heavy rains and high winds the community was experiencing. The club leaders made the decision to move the ceremony inside the club.
“Memorial Day is the day Americans set aside to remember and honor those brave men and women who met tragic ends while defending our freedom. It is our duty to remember and honor their sacrifices, to pray for their families and to bow our heads in recognition of their service” – Brockport Area Veterans Club Memorial Day Ceremony program
Local officials from Brockport, Sweden and Clarkson were in attendance to pay their respects as well as a group of firefighters from the Brockport Fire District. Local Scouts joined the group to present and retire our Nation’s colors and trumpeters from the Brockport High School Band played Taps as part of the ceremony.
Patricia Connors was the mistress of ceremonies and opened the ceremony with welcoming remarks thanking everyone for braving the weather to honor our veterans. Jack Tangen, Commander of American Legion Post #379 offered a heartfelt Invocation and then presented the Annual American Legion Ceremony and Creed. The red, white and blue wreath was presented by members of the American Legion Auxiliary #379, Anita Mault, President.
The keynote address was by our County Legislator Jackie Smith, followed by the Benediction by Jack Tangen. Closing remarks from Legion member William Fine were offered following the Scouts retiring the colors.
