**🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸**
As we celebrate this historic milestone and look back on two and a half centuries of independence, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey of the United States—and the deep gratitude we owe to those who made it possible.
First and foremost, we must thank our forefathers. Their vision laid the groundwork, but it was the profound sacrifices of generations of builders, thinkers, and everyday citizens that truly constructed the America we know today.
We are also profoundly blessed to live in a nation defined by freedom. That freedom, however, is never free. To our current service members and their families who make daily sacrifices, and to the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe; Brockport thanks you. We owe you a debt of gratitude we can never fully repay.
Lately, many of you may have seen the viral videos of international visitors arriving for the FIFA World Cup games. Seeing them experience America in all her glory for the first time—and hearing them remind us how truly lucky we are to call this country home—is a powerful reminder of what a privilege it is to live here.
Of course, no nation’s journey is perfect. As with everything, missteps have been made throughout our history. But the true strength of America lies in our ability to pivot, to make corrections, and to actively strive not to repeat those missteps. We are a continuous work in progress, always aiming to be better tomorrow than we are today.
A Note on Safety This Weekend:
🎆As we enjoy the fireworks, backyard barbecues, and celebrations, please look out for one another. Have fun, stay safe, and let's use some common sense out there. My goal for everyone in Brockport is that we all wake up on the 5th with all ten fingers and great memories!
God bless Brockport, and Happy Independence Day to the United States of America! 🦅✨
