A few moments from this week at 501 Main…

We 💚 when SCU Credit Union volunteers with us on food delivery day.
Thank you SCU for taking our volunteer pledge. You assembled SO many drink and condiment kits for our senior citizen home delivery program - this is such a big help to us and to our neighbors!

A glimpse of our client liaisons in action.

And our bar soap kits for Youth Sol ☀️’s Harvest Hangout on Aug 18th at 1350 Pleasant St. are ready to go! Thanks Bia for adding the finishing touches.

We have decided this is the year we start focusing on the benefits of using bar soap over body wash. So much more affordable, fewer preservatives (so they say- check contents) and less plastic waste for the landfills. Count us in. Can we get three cheers for bar soap and reusable soap dishes? 🧼🥳✨

We’ve had a busy summer. The heat, humidity and rain - so very much rain - haven’t slowed us down.

We are grateful for this hardworking team and our dedicated volunteers who make this work possible.

A great big thank you to Annunciation Greek Orthdox Church Brockton ‘s Ladies Philoptochos Society for making sure that we have the specific items that we need and cannot receive through the food bank month in and month out. Your generosity helps us serve hundreds of neighbors every month.

A special thank you to our friends North Easton Savings Bank for taking the volunteer pledge - we are looking forward to seeing you again in September!

Thank you to The Beanery on Washington ‘s bean team for making sure we enjoyed some delicious burgers this month - a team favorite! 🍔

And thank you to the Rotary Club of Brockton, MA for being there for our neighbors bright and early this morning for home delivery day Brockton Housing Authority ‘s Kennedy Dr. and for capturing this rare photo of TCG’s dedicated daily volunteer, Michael Martel. (How did you do it?!)

And to our friends Brockton Farmers Market - we’ve enjoyed being there with you on Fridays…what a special fresh food resource for our city. Congrats on this season Bianca and team

and…lots of hugs to our friend Val Souza Family Farm - thank you for all you do to support our mission and make sure our the homebound senior citizens we serve have access to beautiful fresh produce.

Summer brings sunshine, days full of fun, and—for some families—empty bellies. For families at risk of food insecurity, summer is a challenging season, with students losing access to reliable meals at school. It adds extra pressure on the grocery budget, and we see a growing demand at The Charity Guild Food Pantry.

Your donation today helps give children access to fresh fruits, vegetables, and healthy meals so they can enjoy the summer the way it's meant to be enjoyed.

We will be open on Wednesday, July 1st. Our line will start forming at noon and we will start serving our neighbors at 1pm.

Please bring an umbrella and water.
We will have our tents and misting fans set up outside and we will distribute water while supplies last.

We will be closed on Thursday July 2nd. Please scroll to find cooling center information and manning pool hours.
